I dont know anybody who does this unless the property is being rented out - do you want to insure for theft/accidential damage or are you looking for some sort of warranty/parts/labour?I am a Mortgage Adviser

I assume you are talking about a warrenty?
D&G is the most common one but excluding mechanical breakdown your home insurance can cover all the other risks (theft, accidental damage etc) at a much lower price.All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

Personally I never go for extended warranties so can make no recommendatiosn
but googling on warranties came up with these sites, May be wirth a look!

sorry insurance was the wrong word it is warranty that i wanted but didn't want to take out from the shop.0

Personally I'd self insure but it depends how much disposable income you have and how much the white goods cost. Find the monthly cost of a warranty and put the money in a savings account and by the time you need to replace/repair the thing you will have a nice bit of money to do it. If it lasts 10 years you may have enough money to go on holliday!
The same can be said with all non compulsory insurance but with white goods being so cheap I don't see the point insuring them for breakdown.
Remember you have a 12 month warranty anyway and if it fails within the first few years I would certainly persue the retailer as under the sales of goods act you have a right to expect non perishable goods to last a 'reasonable' amount of time. I have done this on a couple of occasions and the retailer paid for repairs (2yr old TV) and part of the cost of a new replacement.0 -
We use https://www.portwood.co.uk who arrange extended warranties through AXA. Very much cheaper than Domestic & General. Can do individual items or related groups of items.0
