Last week's thread: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=221115
This was the first week I've done this, and suddenly found I got so much more done. This probably isn't the most riveting of topics for other people to read, but it's nice to have a list to refer to, and see what other people are trying to do.
Succeeded:
1) Close ISA
-- DONE
2) Use ISA money and interest to completely pay off career development loan (£8k)
-- DONE, WAITING FOR CONFIRMATION
3) Clear Halifax card (£224), cut into pieces and close.
-- DONE, WAITING FOR CONFIRMATION
4) Two no-spend days (Tuesday and Thursday)
-- DONE, BUT SUNDAY AND TUESDAY INSTEAD
6) Pitch article ideas to two magazines
-- DONE, NEED TO CHASE THEM UP NEXT WEEK
Kind of:
5) Four no alcohol days (Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday)
-- ONLY MANAGED THREE. TOTAL 25 UNITS - WAS HOPING FOR NO MORE THAN 21
7) Fix up extra shifts for weekend/evenings
-- ASKED, WAITING FOR CONFIRMATION OF DATES
9) Add ten more CDs to Amazon marketplace and check/adjust prices of items already listed
-- ADDED FIVE, SOLD THREE
Failed:
8) Practise shorthand -- FAILED, CARRY FORWARD TO NEXT WEEK
This week:
Chase up Co-operative Bank to double-check career development loan has been cleared
Chase up two magazines to whom I pitched articles
Chase up extra shifts
Start looking for a flat in London (Loot, Gumtree etc..)
Look into AQA, mystery shopping, betting sign-up loopholes, entering competitions
Three no-spend days
Three no alcohol days
Find ten things to put on Amazon or Ebay
Devise cunning plan to take over the world

My goals for last week were:
1. Aim to answer 200 question on AQA per day. - Not succeeded, I'm going to stop setting myself targets with this one as I never seem to have the time to meet them.
2. Try to get 2 more mystery shopping jobs. - I didn't get anymore jobs, in fact after today I haven't even got anymore lined up.
3. Win at least 2 prizes. - I didn't win any but the amount of competitions I have entered should pay off soon.
4. Complete all of my emystery shopping jobs so I can get paid. - Done, £30 should be winging it's way to me soon.
5. Declutter room. - Kind of done, I've managed to find a load of stuff to list on Ebay today.
6. Aim to list at least 10 items on Ebay. - Will be listing stuff on Ebay today, have also got about 15 items finishing today.
7. Enter all my internet comps and at least 10 postal comps a day. - Done, the prizes should start rolling in soon
8. Pay £10 off my Barclaycard every day. - I have more or less managed this, I need to catch up today though as I haven't paid any off for a couple of days.
9. Have at least 3 no spend days. - I haven't kept track of this and can't remember, I need to keep a spending diary!
10. Keep new and improved debt spreadsheet up to date. - My spreadsheet(s) is doing well and looking very nice!!
My goals for this week are:
1. Set aside a specific amount of time to do AQA every day.
2. Get at least 2 mystery shopping jobs.
3. List at least 10 items on Ebay tonight.
4. Organise letter to bank to reclaim charges and post ASAP.
5. Keep a spending diary and try to achieve 3 no spend days.
6. Get my Barclaycard debt to below £100.
7. Win at least 1 prize.
8. Add some more freebie items to my Christmas/Birthday present box.
9. Start planning for next target debt as this month's one is not far from being cleared.
10. Continue decluttering room.
Best of luck with your goals this week everyone!!

Hi everyone,
Well done with all your goals.
Here are my goals from LAST week:-
* 4 no spend days - Think I managed 1
* Final blitz of lots of work this week and make everyone really impressed with my work at project launch on Thursday - Finished as much as humanely possible - worked lots of extra hours. Not all 100% finished but everyone important happy so that's good!
* Prepare for garden party at the weekend - Yes, spent too much money but felt like I needed a day off from the past six months, had worked so hard and could afford it. We had a lovely, lovely time and I'm a bit hungover from Pimms and gin!
* Treat OH very nicely on his birthday on Friday. -Yes, we're getting on really well this week - must be all that spending time together :rotfl: . We're usually like ships that pass in the night and are narky with each other!
Here are my goals for THIS week:-
* Five no spend days - I've spent up for the month so I have to be very good now!
* Work hard at work and prepare well for annual appraisal on Thursday
* Do lots of glass painting for lots of customers (including beanielou :hello: )
Looking forward to getting my life back and getting more focussed on moneysaving for next few weeks now work has calmed down a bit.

* Go for a walk every day - at least 1 mile
* make new meal planner & use ingredients still in cupboard
* Keep eating fresh fruit and veggies daily
* Clear out spare room
* Give birth(please, I feel like I'm the size of a house!!)
That'll do for now.

Hey roversbabe - good luck with everything & the impending birth!
I notice also, you became debt free on my birthday (I may have known that at the time....) - hooray!
Anyway, to the business in hand....
I haven't set any goals for weeks. I just seemed to fail at everything when I had a downer a while ago. Sigh.
I still feel a bit lost on that score but know I need to sort it out.
So, I'll set myself some teeny ones.
Have a no spend day - just one. Come on L.A. you can manage one can't you?
Go for walks at lunchtime without purse.
Do something that saves or makes some money. At least one penny. Write a review on Ciao...find some money in street (!), sell something on Amazon or EBAY, get something cash back via QuidCo, anything as long as it means you've got a bit extra.
Find a cheap but lovely present for friend's birthday at end of this month.
Good luck everyone for the week.
