Finally after 2 long years with AOL my contract has come to an end leaving me free to go with whoever I choose but I'm not sure what to do.
I'm definately leaving AOL as there service has been abysmal, I'm not confident I will get much of an improvement speedwise as I live in N. Wales and am also a fair distance from my exchange.
I did a test off ThinkBroadband and it revealed the following message:
For Telephone Number 01********* on Exchange ******
Your exchange is ADSL enabled, and our initial test on your line indicates that your line should be able to have an ADSL broadband service that provides a fixed line rate up to 1Mbps. However due to the length of your line the 1Mbps service may require an engineer visit who will, where possible, supply the broadband service.
Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a potential ADSL Max broadband line rate of 1Mbps or greater.
Your exchange is planned to have ADSL2+ by 31st March 2010. Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a potential ADSL2+ broadband line rate of 1Mbps or greater.
The actual stable line rate supportable will be determined during the first 10 days of use. This rate may change over time, to ensure line stability is maintained.
If you decide to place an order, a further test will be performed to confirm if your line is suitable for the service you wish to purchase.

What is ADSL2+ and should I wait until March 31st?
If I'm honest I think I will go to BT as I plan to have my master socket relocated and a seperate fax line installed due to ongoing fax problems.
Do you think I could negotiate a deal with BT or will they just stand firm and charge full rates for everything.
I currently pay £34.99 a month for BB, all calls are free to landlines and I did get a PS3 at the start.
Not sure if it matters but I run a business from home so the broadband and calls will be for business and personal use so would a business deal be better?
A lot of questions I know but any advice would be great.
