Ford Focus instrument panel dead
Options
Hiya,
For some reason the odometer and all the needles on the dashboard of my 03 Focus are dead. The needles all stay on 0 and the odometer is just completely blank.
To begin with this was just happening every now and again, but now it seems to be permenetly dead.
Anyone any ideas what the problem might be, or how we can fix it?
Thanks
Pete

There was a fault with the original clusters on that age of Focus.
Ford used to replace them for a fixed price of £99. Not sure if they still will - but they should do. If not, expect it to cost about £300 -£400
The £99 deal was only if the fault was exactly that as already known to Ford. Your local Ford dealer should be able to advise further"Now to trolling as a concept. .... Personally, I've always found it a little sad that people choose to spend such a large proportion of their lives in this way but they do, and we have to deal with it." - MSE Forum Manager 6th July 20100 -
Mine did this about three months ago. If you search on internet for ford focus instrument cluster, lots of info should come up. I fixed mine by buying a tin of £3.49 PCB cleaner from Maplin. I took the insturment cluster out. took the circut board off, cleaned it, and put it back on again.0
