best place to buy a new hardrive

just looking to buy a new hardrive any one know any places with good deals
im after a 250gb one ive been looking on ebuyer and they have one for £55 delivered

There are loads of places, cheap places I have used in the past are https://www.dabs.com https://www.scan.co.uk https://www.aria.co.uk all are local to me so I save postage except dabs as they dont do collections. On the scan site they have a today only special prices and hard drives are always on at the weekends they just change the make each week so waith till a little later and check out https://www.scan.couk/todayonly ok I just checked and this weekends are already there and its Western Digital this week which I use and are really reliable.

You looking for a SATA or IDE drive?

IDE is the ribbon like cable. If that's what you're looking for then this is quite a good price:

The 7200.8's have always done quite well in reviews, and come with a 5 year warranty.

I'm not a great fan of ebuyer. Delivery is pretty slow unless you pay the extra few quid. Dabs are selling a samsung spinpoint p120 - 250gb drive for a tad under £55 including delivery.

Drives are great, and even PCPro put them on their A-List. Really quiet and fast.

I think it'll be a 3 year warranty with it - don't quote me on that.

I bought a laptop hard drive from them on Tuesday, it came on Thursday. I was impressed. Ebuyer you have to pay afew quid extra for the fast delivery.
