Euro Car Park fines and staff of stores

Hi all,

My better half got a "PCN" from Euro Car Parks today after working a full shift at the store who shares the carpark on a retail park. All the other staff park in it, and shes never been given a permit or suchlike. Unfortuanlty she only noticed after the other staff had gone, so could not ask if they had permits and is now very worried. If it was me, I'd be happy with the ignore it advice but she's not :) She's worked there a while, but only normally works evenings, once the vultures have knocked off.

Question is, does anyone know if permits or suchlike get issued by employers using carparks managed by these muppets?? Or would they listen to an appeal from a member of staff who need to park there for long periods.

Her employers are flipping useless, so I would not be surprised if they'd "forgotten" to get her a permit or pass.

Cheers!

The permits should normally be issued by the employer, or at least from the car park at the advice of the employer. This should be similar to a casino where they stamp the ticket as you go out so that you don't have to pay.

You MUST persuade her to ignore it!

She will only receive 3 or 4 letters, addressed to the registered keeper. Firstly from Euro Crapparks and then from CCS collect and/or Brinx.

Then they will stop and give up, to pursue another victim.

Alx*27 did have a pictogram in his signature on some posts, do pm him if you cannot find it as it will show your gf exactly which letters will arrive. Then END OF SCAM.

That's really all there is to it. I speak from experience, it was no big deal at all. My relative also ignored a scam ticket from EuroCrapparks this year. Nothing happened except the letters, this sort of alleged demand does NOT affect her credit rating nor her employment.

They don't 'do' Court, they just pretend they might do. Oh, and they don't 'do' appeals either so tell her not to try that avenue (it's just a way of them trying to find out if they have 'hooked' the driver of the car and are sending their rubbish letters to the right person...appeals are always refused).

She should also NOT talk to her employers about 'getting a ticket' as they will probably have no clue and think she 'has' to pay it! She could ask them a VERY general question 'do I need a permit to park here?' so she can find out for the future.

Here's a link to ALL the other MSE members in your gf's postion at the mo, I suggest she reads the advice on some of them. ALL are ignoring their tickets unless issued by Councils or the Police:

HTH now tell your gf to forget it and enjoy Christmas!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You MUST pay immediately or they will send you several letters and then go away for ever.
  • I can confirm that the four letters will arrive then stop too, as for the permits, they usually dont exist. What makes me angry is the car park where they issue their tickets there isnt even an attendant there 80% of the time so its pot luck.

    Ignore safely
