Hi everyone,
Here is a link to last week's goals thread:-
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=207590
Here are my goals for LAST week:-
*4 no spend days - Not done, still not back in the swing of these no spend days
*Send party invite in some shape or form - Yes, I didn't like my party invite design so we just sent out a mass email with lots of info - so DONE, yay!
*Sort out finances - Yes, I know what I have left for the month (not a lot!)
*Restart spending diary - No, not done - carry over
*No eBay apart from things finishing - not sure if its costing me more money than I'm making - Yes, that wasn't a tough goal! Things finishing today are at £96!
*Take cats to vets - Yes. Poor Millie has to go back to be 're-neutered' on Monday but costs covered by CPL
*Phone up re. free compost bin and kitchen compactor from Council - Yes and received!
*Think about car boot sale stuff - been to two car boot sales and made next to nothing after costs. Should I just charity shop the stuff or try once more? - Had a think about this and think I will charity shop that majority of the stuff. Just got to sort it all out!
*Phone up re. part time job in tearoom - Yes, meeting and trial today at 9.30am - wish me luck!
Here are my goals for THIS week:-
*5 no spend days
*Impress today at my part time job trial and try and sort out hours/days for rest of summer
*Start a new eBay order
*Give Blood (national shortage - can you give too? Its free and you get tea and yummy biccies!)
Less goals this week as very busy at work (new project launches on 6th July) so late nights etc. Also, I get really down when I don't achieve everything and sometimes feel like I'm pushing myself too hard.
Good luck everyone!

Hi,
I'd like to join in too please as OH is away all week and I may actually be able to get something done!
This week I aim to...
1. Send required info back to tax office to make them give me back what I'm owed (maybe 2000 quid!)
2. Stop smoking - allergies have come back with a vengence and smoking really isn't helping with summertime asthma
3. Have 3 no spend days
4. Take back stuff to Trafford Centre that was bought in a weak moment and I don't even really like (still in carrier bags!) - about 60 quids worth - and put the cash into my holiday account
5. Sort out wardrobes as I can't get anything into them and sell/charity shop what I don't use.
6. Go to gym/pool at least twice.(Bikini wearing time coming up soon and there's about a stone that needs shifting!)
Working 10 hour days this week so that should be plenty for this week!
Good luck everyone!

I usually buy the same stuff each week, so it should be relatively easy to see the difference.DMP mutual support number 174Total debt now (April 10) £0! - total paid off £30,221 or 100%I'm now debt free after 6 years!!:jNon smoker since June 2006 :j0 -
Hi,
I'm going to join in with this in the hope that I might actually get something done! Have got three days off work this week, so there's no excuse really.
1) Post prelim letters to credit card companies, asking for charges to be refunded.
2) Clean the car. Will do it at home, so keeping water level to a minimum.
3) Get an item on e-bay.
4) Put adverts in local free-ads.
That's about all for now. Don't want to add too many as I'll only feel down-hearted if I don't get them done.0 -
Good luck SS for the job trial and well done for plugging the blood donations too. :T
These were my goals for the week...
1. One no spend day although this is going to be tough as two days I am going out after work, I will probably need to get the bus at least once, buy a birthday card and I need to get top up veggies towards end of week. I will see what I can do to to try and lump them all in on the same day where possible! Well the only no spend day was today! And I am not sure if that counts? (Does the new week start today or tomorrow..?)
2. Post letters to close unused storecards that I found in the depths of my purse yesterday (they have been cut to ribbons since) Done! And closed an unused bank account too which had a tempting £500 overdraft on it (at stupid APR rate). That is now CLOSED too!
3. Bank those coins!! Nope. I counted them and it was only £1.05. Decided I will hang on a bit longer to feel more satisfied when I get the banking receipt back for slightly more. Maybe this week.
4. Spend as little as possible (without being a sponger) & try to arrange lifts when I go out this week after work. Well I got lifts everywhere but I still managed to spend money! However I did not partake in 'rounds' of drinks so I didn't sponge off people, I paid my own way. Which helped...it could have been worse.
This weeks' goals are:
1. Two no spend days.
2. Bank some coins if it is above £2 (better in the bank than being frittered away I feel).
3. I am going out for a bite to eat with a friend after work tomorrow.....only have main course, not a starter or dessert!
4. Remember to top up bottle regularly from water cooler at work (it's on a different floor) rather than sit there dehydrating like a prune and then buying water at lunchtime when out.
Good luck everyone!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly
