Wireless-N Modem Router recommendation please

I am expecting my O2 broadband to be installed next week but my option only comes with a wireless B/G router. I would like to replace it with an N router. I would like to use it with my desktop pc which has a usb N adapter, my netbook, wireless printer and iphone which are all G.
The pc will be used for streaming HD video to my Xtreamer media player which will be connected to the router by cable.
Is there a not too expensive modem/router that will do the job please?

Can't you connect the desktop using an Ethernet cable - much better and much more MSE. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

I have a Netgear WRN2000 and am very happy with it, especially with the latest firmware loadedChris Elvin0

Thanks but this appears to be a cable router rather than an ADSL Modem Router?
So, you use the modem in the b/g wireless modem router with which O2 will be providing you (which you carelessly describe as being a mere "wireless router") and run a second wireless router (in bridge mode) on 802.11n – preferably at 5 GHz.
You don't need two modems (unless you want a backup) and if you try to do it all with one modem wireless router, your netbook, printer and iPhone will drag your computer down to g.
Since O2 will be giving you a b/g wireless modem router, what you need in addition is a modem-less 802.11n wireless router – operating on a different channel.
Don't laugh at banana republics. :rotfl:
As a result of how you voted in the last three General Elections,
you'd now be better off living in one.

That makes a lot of sense. Thank you.0

Not very MSE to have two routers powered up when only one is required! Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -

Well, the alternative would be to bin the b/g wireless modem router given to him free by O2 and buy a simultaneous dual-band modem wireless router – and those don't come cheap!

The O2 is not "given to him free" - it has to be returned or they charge £50. Seems a bit of a botched set-up to me, not very well thought though. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
Would something like this plugged into the O2 Modem Router do the job?
