Nationwide Hardship Claim

Hi,
I recently put in a hardship claim to Nationwide and, having received my completed income & expenditure form, they've offered to refund some of the charges (roughly half of what I asked for) and reverse one pending. However, they say they cannot refund £120 worth of charges accrued before my loss of employment, as I was not in hardship then. Would I be wasting my time in again asking for them anyway?

Probably but accepting the amount offered does not stop you from having the rest refunded since the rest of them would be repaid once the OFT test case issues are resolved.RichardBooth wrote: »Hi,

Bear in mind that acceptance of any offer does not preclude you from claiming the balance at the conclusion of the OFT test case. If their current offer does not cover any priority debt arrears (rent/mortgage, utilities, council tax) that you have, you having nothig to lose by trying to negociate a higher offer on that basis to cover these arrrears0
