Does anyone have any recommendations on accommodation in Isle of Man and seeing the TT races?

Cheers :)

    Just two really.

Try and book really early or you'll not get anything, or camp.

Make sure you go, it's awesome if you haven't been.

some people rent out garden spaces so you can sit really close to the track (behind a wall if you're sensible)..and they make brews and butties etc.

I have a mate who still goes every year I'll ask what he does.

  • I would recommend staying in Douglas as there is a great atmosphere down on the prom in the evenings. If you can't get a hotel there's always TT homestay scheme, where local residents let out their spare rooms for the week. Just google TT homestay for details, though the 2010 scheme is not up and running yet. I hear it's fun as a lot of the people who do homestay are bike enthusiasts and have done it for years. Good luck.

I completely forgot that I had started this thread and we missed this years races but we have booked the ferry for next years now! :D Just looking for accomodation now, thinking of camping as ferry is more expensive than originally thought. I shall look at all the links that you have all suggested thanks! I really can't wait and its not even my thing, DP is like a child on xmas morning since I told him I booked lol.
