I have recently opened their Flexible Saver Issue 6 and I was just wondering if Citibank had a UK call centre I could get directly through to? I have had to call twice already once to activate my account and once to check my rate and both times... India
Can anyone help?

I don't think so, or at least I've never read of anyone speaking to anywhere other than India for this account and it's received a lot of posts over the last few weeks.0

Blarg. I don't know whether to sacrifice the 0.3% and put it with Alliance and Leicester

Going with Citibank really isn't worth the aggro for ANY rate.
Their call centre is appalling. They leave you on hold for tens of minutes at a time in between, "asking supervisors", "putting you through now", "can you just hold a moment", etc etc.
I've been trying to close my account with them for MONTHS now. They ignore email and their online messaging system. I've had to resort to writing to them to close the account some 10 weeks ago and they still haven't done it. All this on top of asking for a Section 975 that still hasn't arrived months after the initial request. (All other institutions sent me a Section 975 that I requested within 3 days)
I'm dreading having to phone them again but I need the 975 for my tax return.
Be warned, don't go near them. Whatever 0.0X% you think you'll get above the others isn't worth the frustration.0 -
No problems here. On two occasions to activate two accounts, phone answered in seconds by a helpful people with English accents.0

I opened a Citbank online account a coup[le of weeks ago after it appeared on this site. It does not seem to appear now on here - has something happened. I had no problems activating the account.
Have just emailed them to request the interest rate - I had thought it to be 3.3 when I opened it....0 -

You don't have to email them. There is a link on their site to tell you what interest rate you will get. So you just need to know what issue of your account is. The link is here in case you can't find it. http://www.citibank.co.uk/personal/banking/customerinfo/otherinformation/documentlibrary/allrates.pdf?merchant=citi0
