Barclays do a credit card that you pay off in full every month.Kind Regards
Bill0 -
We use Barclays business Visa for our staff. We pay £30 a year for each card..
You don't have to pay the balance off in full each month, but will incur interest.
One problem is that they no longer itemise the bill under headings ie fuel etc which makes it a bit of a pain when calculating VAT.0 -
Haven't come across a pre-paid expenses card (although I wouldn't need one anyway) but we have Coop Visa cards (we bank with Unity Trust, but Coop provide the Credit cards) and the charge is £2 per person per month. We get monthly bills, which we pay by Direct Debit while requiring everyone to itemise their expenditure and provide receipts, but quarterly they send a big listing which is split into petrol, hotels etc.
You can have an overall credit limit, but also individual credit limits, which we have set at different levels for different people, according to their needs.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
has anyone got any feedback on the paypal card? at £4.95 for 2 years it seems a bargain plus online access0

Cashplus at £29.99 per year and instant online viewing. No charge for usage.0

I have just got the 02 money card for this exact reason. So far so good!0

Despite my earlier comment about not needing one, I'm now looking into this.
I will have a quick look at the others already mentioned but have been sent details about altocard - anyone used or have any comments? It's a Mastercard.
Main charges relevant to us seem to be £6 to set up a new card, 50p to top it up, and a £5 admin charge to shut it down and have balance transferred back to us, which means that as long as someone stays with us for a year and doesn't have it topped up every week it should work out cheaper than our visa cards which cost us £2 per card per month. Although we would probably give out more of these out than we would Visa cards ...
You can withdraw cash, but I wouldn't want people to do this as there is a charge. No charge to use in UK, and we wouldn't use it abroad.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Iv'e been researching these cards and find there's a few forums slating these company's. I'm trying to find one which will allow you to have your business name on the card not the individual. If anyone can help I would be grateful.0

I think the altocard has the individual's name, and they are issued to an individual via the company, so it could be that you won't find one JUST in the name of the company - is that what you were after?
The Coop Visa cards we have atm have both the individual and the company's name on two lines, which is sometimes problematic if you're trying to buy online. If there's one box for the name it seems to be OK to put SS Surname Fantastic Charity Limited, but if there are boxes for the firstname and surname it often doesn't like having all that information split between the boxes, and the card gets rejected because there's a discrepancy between what I've entered and the name as it appears on the card!
Frustrating ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
Sue, that reminds me of a large electronics retailer that lost an order from me recently because there was no way I could include my company name on the online order. I even emailed them but after a few days got some bland response that didn't answer the question.
Actually it gives me hope for all of us small businesses who have enough flexibility and common sense to actually do what our customers require.0
