photos from shop have come out dark can i get them lightened

got on of those cheapy cameras that you chuck away and some of my photos that have come back(sent it into klick) very dark even tho flash was on can i get the photo lightened if i have teh negatives

Do you have a slide scanner?
If so scan the negs in, and it'll depend on what detail was captured, but you should be able to boost the midtones and highlights using a Levels command in Photoshop, or free software such as Paint.Net
You cannot achieve the same by scanning in the printed photo, you must scan the negative, or have them digitised on CD for you by a photo lab.0 -

Shame you didn't get them processed in store, as it would have been easy to go back.
Were the pictures taken in dark conditions, I presume they were?
The pictures may be underexposed! If the negatives are light then then they're underexposed (and if very dark they're overexposed).....0 -

OK this may be a bit crude, but could you take a photo of a negative (hold it up against) a window before it gets dark) and put the picture on here?.....0
