hi can you help i am trying to move my phone from bt to sky to save some pennys but bt have sent me out a letter saying that they want £53 termination charge for unlimited evening and weekend plan with renewable contract i have contacted bt and they say that it is a 12 month renewable contract i have had this in for over 12 month i only agreed to this sevise once this was a verbal agrement taken out when i first took out the phone line
can you help i really dont want to pay this £53 is there any way out of this any help would be greatly appreciated

About a month before the end of the first (and each subsequent) 12 month contract, you will (should) have received a letter from BT inviting you to renew for a further 12 months. If you ignore that letter, the contract is automatically renewed for a further 12 months.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
