Hi all
We'd be really grateful if you could take a look and let us know what you think of our new 'Bank Charges Compared' tool (it's to tell you how much you'd get in bank charges from each of the main banks in a range of circumstances).
This is the link http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/bank-charges-compared
The plan is to get this out in the weekly email next week so any comments much appreciated

I quite liked this though I don't have an overdraft/get charges anymore. I had a good play about with the sliders based on my financial mess of a few years back.
I think it's quite good as an estimate of what people could be charged.Payment a day challenge: £236.69
Jan Shopping Challenge: £202.09/£250
Frugal Living Challenge: £534.64/150000 -

If you set all sliders to 0 some charges still show, should there be any charges in these cases?0

I like it - will be better though when we can test it properly.Total Quidco earnings - £547.98

We bank (in the process of changing) with Nationwide and they don't charge £20 for being overdrawn for a whole month. Last month we were overdrawn (agreed OD) for 26 days and were charged £92.That's without being over the agreed limit and doesn't include the £30 each they charge for a bounced DD.
For the tool itself, I think it could be really handy and nice and simple - just not sure how accurate the charges are just now.I'm 26, been with my OH for 8 years - we have 3 beautiful daughters and no debt collector can ever touch our family.LBM: 03/10/09 Unsecured Debts: 69K  DMP Start Date 01/11/2009.0 -
The layout is a little messed in IE6. The Monthly Charges area isn't tucking under the sliders rather floating on the right!
No idea about the figures though.

Hi
Thats really interesting, its certainly an eye opener it does leave you with one big question, are those figures really right its really quite frightening. It would be helpful to have a link to what to do if you are in the trap of bank charges0
