Decorating with vintage/second hand items

Options
Does anyone else do this? I've decided my style isnt shabby chic as I dont like lots of floral, not sure what you would call it really. I recently bought a solid pine dresser from a charity shop for £85 and got my Step Dad to paint it cream for me, leaving the knobs as they were and leaving the top surface of the dresser as wood. I am soooo pleased with it. I also scour Ebay for bargains, looking for things I can paint or refinish or even better leave as they are. Last night I got this photo frame from Ebay, the seller lives near me, it was only £1 and originally from Home Sense.

I bought these 2 tables a while ago (also local) and have spray painted them black, to go next to our bed. (£2.20)

and this pine shelf for £1 to paint white for my DD9's room

Anyone else?

I'm all for a bargain! We have a home sense within a mile of our house and have spotted that frame before. Think it's £6 new!

We stripped our pine bedside tables and painted an eggshell aged white from Crowns period colours and put on some funky crystal handles. look brilliant!

Yes! I had one of these which I was really bored of and was going to go on ebay itself:

And it now looks like this:

You can't buy those in the shops!

I've done the matching laundry cupboard as well. Very pleased with myself :D

Does anyone know the best way to sell vintage furniture? I'm moving into a house with loads of old cool stuff, but I need to get rid of loads of it due to size. Are there better options than ebay/gumtree?

Doozergirl, I like what you did to that unit, pine seems so boring once youve painted it!
