Kew Gardens are hosting the Salaam Music Village Festival on both 1st and 2nd July 2006. The festival is a celebration of arts, music and culture from the Islamic World and will include guest artists from Bosania, China, Iraq and other Islamic countries.
From Weds 24th May 2006, 2 vouchers per household can be downloaded from the Cultural Co-operation's website: http://www.culturalco-operation.org/
Each voucher admits one adult or one concession for free entry into Kew Gardens (normal price is £11.75) on the 1st or 2nd July - Free entry for Under 17s, so no voucher required.
Alternatively, you can collect vouchers from a number of distribution points around London, as listed on their website. Lack of funds this year prevents them from mailing out bulk orders of vouchers.
So bring a blanket, picnic and wine and soak up the sunshine (fingers crossed!) and sounds with friends and family!!

Are people free to visit all parts of Kew Gardens as well as listen to the music?
I assume the musicians have a massive stage in the grounds like at Glastonbury etc.0 -
You have a good memory, Anastasia! Yes it was me who posted the alert last year.
Malcolmwilliamson - Yes, you are free to visit all parts of Kew, including the big glass house thingy! So you can have your picnic anywhere you like!!

Yes - a group of us went last year - thoroughly enjoyed the varied music, something for everyone and great to see so many people of all ages having a great time. And of course the chance to see Kew gardens thrown in.0

Click here then click the first links on each page where it says “click here” and on the third screen (second click) you will get a page where you fill in your name and address. Scroll to bottom of the page and click “Get Tickets” and a new screen will appear with the tickets for you to print off. You'll get 2 tickets, the first of which will have your name and address printed on them. they have serial numbers so cannot be photocopied as they ahve your contact details on them - assuming they're that sad to check up!!!
Good luck.0 -
Shame. It clashes with Europride in Central London! And a romantic picnic in the gardens would have been great!
I could make it better myself at home. All I need is a small aubergine...
I moved to Liverpool for a better life.
And goodness, it's turned out to be better and busier!0 -
Tickets are no longer available from the website. Can still be picked up from other places, but it suggests to call first to check availability.0

managed to print off two just now!0
