Should I take these offers from Lloyds TSB? Or go to the Ombudsman?

I have finally got responses from lloyds regarding ppi for 3 loans I've had with them, 2 of these I had consolidated

Loan 1

took out on 15/10/02 for £2000.
PPI was a one off premium of £518.62 plus interest.
They have said that when I settled this loan on 12/04/04 that I received a net rebate on the PPI for £319.67.

They are willing to offer me the difference of £69.37.

Does anybody know if this sounds right?

Loan 2

took out loan on 12/01/04 for £5070.
PPI payment was a one off premium for £951.01 plus interest

Lloyds are not offering anything for this loan.

Loan 3

took out loan on 03/10/07 for £5000
PPI was a one off premium of £1211.04 plus interest
they said I received a net rebate for £444.86.

They are offering me the difference of £249.41

Does anybody know if the figures they are offering me sound about right or do you think I am entitled to more.

I'm defo gonna refer loan number 2 to the ombudsman but not sure where I stand with the other two.

Any help/ advice would be much appreciated.

Hi, have they mentioned the repayments you made against the PPI and interest and also 8% statutory interest? None of their "differences" add up????

Tina, these sound quite low and certainly not going to put you back into the position as if you never had the PPI from what i can tell. I would write back and say that you want to be put back into the position as you would have been in without ANY ppi being added to your loans and 8% statutory interest. If they do not then you always have the opportunity of going to the FOS.
  • thanks marshallka, I think I will do that. I was adding up the PPI payments that I had made to each loan and the amounts they are offering me is no where near the amount of PPI I had paid on each loan.
