Egg saving

I have only just opened an Egg saving account at £3.25% and now I see it Has dropped. Does this mean I still get 3.25% for 12 month or the new rate?

Thank you.

[STRIKE]Sadly, it means your rate has dropped too (and mine) as it's variable rate. Looks like I'll be moving my savings out of there.[/STRIKE]

I was going to transfer £10,000 into it today good job I saw it as now I won't bother. Another waste of time opening an account.

    Thanks for your answer.

Actually. I'm telling porkies. Take a look at the small print for the account on the date you opened yours... http://new.egg.com/visitor/0,,3_11096--View_164,00.html

The bonus has dropped, not the main interest rate, but ours is a fixed bonus for 12 months, meaning our overall interest rate hasn't changed.

If you opened it when the rate was 3.25% then you will get 3.25%.

there is a button you can press on the website to "show interest rates"

Looks like I'm OK then, thanks. I did read it on their website about the interest rates but evidently read it wrong.

Thank you all for clearing that up.
