Aria Technology!

I bought "first time purchase" from Aria one of those R/C helicopters for my husband for anniversary present, it arrived really quickly, the outer packaging box looked ok but when we opened it, it was broken inside its own box.
We were really dissapointed as we couldnt even use it!!!
I telephoned their customer service, they said I could send it back and they would replace it and would pay up £10 postage - which I have done.

I havent received a replacement yet, everytime i telephone the customer service they never answer the phone just left hanging on and its an 0870 number!!!! in the end i have emailed them.

Got back this morning from weekend away, got an email saying that their technical dept said it has physical damage, but as i had reported it arriving like that they would pass it onto the team leader and are awaiting feedback!

I assume if they think we have damaged it they wont have to replace it?

I'm really dissapointed about all this - I wish i had bought one from a shop now so i know it wont turn up broken!

Has anyone else had dealings with this company????

    yes, yes and yes !
    I hate them too :-D
First off though, for futher dealings with them, go to
    https://www.saynoto0870.com
    and search for aria

i think these are the details :
    ria Technology
    0870 4432389

    0161 2481616

    Customer Services
to avoid paying hte 0870 number :-)

    Secondly, Yes !

I bought some speakers from them years ago, they arrived, tried them out, and within a week, they started squeaking like no tommorow, so got in touch, sent them back, and paid £10 postage like yourself,

after a month or so, they admitted they were faulty, and sent me a new one, all good i thought, and my £10 postage should be refunded ?

No, i gave them a few days for it to go through, and as i was phoning up to complain, the speakers started going squeaky again, (i suspect they could of even sent the same ones back)

so again, i had to send them back, this time, i arranged for them to collect it, as opposed to me send it via royal mail special delivery (despite being more expensive)

im guessing they realised they would have to pay out this time, if they were faulty, so this time (despite the same problem), they were found not to be faulty.

So by now, on a £40 item, i had spent at least £65 quid on it.

I then had my exams, so didnt bother with them for a month, and phoned up asking what was happening?

I then got told i would be called back the next day.

A week later, someone phoned saying he spoke to a woman last week (!!!! - im a guy, at least, last time i checked)

and that out the goodness of their heart, they would send me a new replacement !

Which arrived, and .... didnt even work!

At this time, i just cut my loses, yes i wasted almost double what i paid for the item in total with postage and phone bills (didnt know about say no to 0870 then) and ended with nothing, but i learnt my lesson

AVOID ARIA AT ALL COSTS !

    :-)

(sorry for the rant / long post, but arrrrgh, it still gets to me today)

    I would second that too

    I bought a vcd-cd-mp3 compatible player for 30 pounds.

got the darn thing and just one day later stopped working, not even switching on.

sent it back, paid 3.5 for that.

had to keep on phoning them every week until they sent me another one back nearly 2 months after i received my first one, their excuse was the xmas backlog... yeah right!

got another one, but it refused to play most of my mp3 cds, it did play all my cd's fine but would play my vcd at a frame every 30 seconds speed.

the darn thing lasted me for 1year and half serving as a normal cd player, then the hinges cracked and it ended up out the window.

dont touch Aria even with a bargepole!

They are good at deliveries and are cheap, but their customer service is beyond belief - i had to return an item to them and in the end had to threaten them with the small claims court - even then it took 28 days to get a refund, You have to keep on and on at them on a daily basis to get anywhere.
