Goals for w/b 7th May 2006

Options
Hi everyone - happy Sunday!

I've had a lovely morning pottering about the car boot sale and local Sunday market and cuddling my new pu55ycats!

Last week's thread:- http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=190905

My goals for LAST week:-

*Submit court claim for bank charges - whoopee! - Done and cr*pping myself but just have to hold my nerve now

*Restart diet big style - Kind of, was doing well during the week, but had lots of sweets and chocolate cravings this weekend :o. Need to refocus

*Five no spend days and recalulate money for month due to my stupidity (as above) - I think I had 2 no spend days - I bought fresh fruit most mornings so don't feel so bad about spending a wee bit of cash. I did recalculate money for month but need to recalculate again as think I am spent up 'til payday buying stuff for my new pu55ycats!

*Contact 2 people off work at the moment (1 sick, 1 baby) and arrange to visit/meet up - Contacted both and going to see one who is sick in a couple of weeks, baby lady not responded but I think v. busy

*List more on eBay - maybe 10 things? - No, carried forward to this week

*Make a start on another big eBay order - No, I have to do this this week

*Make further arrangements for adopting my 2 cats from CPL - Collected yesterday and had a bit of a rough night with lots of miaowing and hiding under furniture - but settling in okay so far!

*Impress when meeting potential babysitting peeps on Wednesday - No, they cancelled but not fussed as I got an excellent babysitting gig last night. I was babysitting in a posh castle for lots of babies while their parents partied at the wedding - a bit manic but made £60 cash in hand! Also - the other people who cancelled will hopefully rebook and I made some contacts last night (people asked for my details etc!)

My goals for THIS week:-

*4 no spend days
*Take cats to vet - arrange with CPL
*Start eBay order
*Do some more tidying in garden
*Clean house (today!)
*Have a pampering evening
*List more items on eBay

How has everyone else got on? Good luck with all your goals!

Okey dokey, another week over already!! Last week my goals were:

Take packed lunch on long journey to avoid price of motorway services food. (oh yes regulars, its back to the long journeys for me!) Perhaps allow one coffee. Yep, took packed lunch and didn't buy anything at the services :j

Investigate the advertised "10 item free listing week" on ebay - apparently only for 'eligible' members but it doesn't say what that means. Haven't got an email about it so not holding out any hope but who knows!! Never got the email and couldn't find more info so assumed I wasn't eligible:mad:

Going back to living on my own (have been with parents for best part of a month) so get back into the routine of cheap and healthy food shopping. Make a meal plan, then a shopping list, then stick to it!Yep, have managed to be organised and stick to budget as well as being healthy :j

Do mystery shopping jobs - that'll be a £20 bonus Yep, done, easy peasy £20 :j

Ok, so this coming week my goals are:

Only buy the essentials by way of food - really shouldn't need more than bread, milk etc.

Watch dvds received through free trial (for quidco cashback :j ) and investigate when they need to be returned by so as not to get charged.

Investigate any other trials/offers through quidco that could earn me some money!

Organise and tidy stuff - anything and everything!. My house is a mess, my uni work is everywhere, things are not up to date, arrghhh! Do some tidying whilst dancing to music (a la fat free wannabees!) then make lists of things to remember/do and get on with doing them!! Hoping that tidying and sorting house will sort out my head :rotfl: Not exactly moneysaving but good for my sanity :o

Maybe go shopping for some much-needed shoes but try not to spend too much!

Have a good week everyone :D

Again haven't done this for a while so here goes:

    1. Hold my nerve until Saturday .....if Natwest don't enter in a defence then we get to claim our bank charges of £2300+ by default

    2. Do sandwiches for me and the boy each night

    3. Don't have chocolate from the van lady for at least 3 days...so at least £1.20 goes in my savings. (would say for 5 days but my boss my drive me to chocolate!

    4. Given (3) to at least apply for 1 job, preferably better paid, at worse slightly lower paid.....yes I know not very MSE but believe me mentally it would be better than the one I'm doing now.
    2014 Target;
    To overpay CC by £1,000.
    Overpayment to date : £310

    2nd Purse Challenge:
    £15.88 saved to date

I'm feeling a bit fed up today because I've already let things slide this month and I've no idea how! One thing is that I've had to fork out for a train ticket which I can claim back from work but I find it really hard to find the money up front AND I've got to get a 2nd one for later on next month, along with paying for 2 nights in a hotel- oh my god.

Sorry about the ramble-feeling a bit sick because of it all.

Anyway, I'm going to try and regroup a bit this week! I've got £14 in my purse and that is going to last me all week- including petrol. So...

    1. Stck to my £14 or less.
    2. Try again to list some items on ebay.
    3. Take some clothes to the dress agency to sell.

I didn't take part in this thread last week, so I'm really going to try and refocus and get some things done this week.

    - Do three exercise sessions of at least thirty minutes each.
    - Create a logo for business.
    - Order stock for business.
    - Apply for another three jobs.
    - Five no spend days as car has broken down and OH says it will probably be around £40 - £50 to fix it. Plus I can't have any more free driving lessons until it's fixed as it's the only car I'm insured to drive. Will have to butter him up to get it fixed quickly!
