False 0% balance transfer offer from AmEx

Dear Martin
I'd like to bring your attention to a false offer I have had from AMEX.
On Tuesday of this week I received a marketing letter, signed by Tom Allder (Head of UK Credit Cards), from American Express Services Europe Ltd, Credit Card Services, Amex House, Dept 871, Edward St., Brighton BN88 1AH, which offers in big bold type 0% interest on balance transfers - until the balances are cleared. It also says that this offer is only available until the 15th June so act quickly and call 0845 606 6506.
However upon calling the number I was told that this letter was a mistake and the offer does not exist - however I could have a 0% rate on transfers for 6 months.
Is there any way to make them honour their offer?
Surely this is false / fraudulent marketing and I feel that it should be bought to the attention of the media / wider public.

Hey!
I got that letter as well and I mailed it as I did not want to call that premium rate number. I also photo copied the letter and mailed the copy back to them with the filled out form.
I expect them to honour it. If not I would not be happy at all.
If they make mistakes like that they should be reported adn they should honour it to those who took it up until they send an official letter stating their mistake.
I would fight them on this!
Martin, what do you think? I can send you a copy of the letter.
