Talk Talk..... please leave me alone.

Options
After 12 disastrous months of Talk Talk Broadband, it was with much releif that I gave them my required 30 days notice back in February.

They provided my MAC code and I switched ISP. Everything seemed rosey.

Then a month later another invoice arrives. So I ring to explain that I had cancelled by letter and email, and received the reply with my MAC code that enabled me to switch supplier.

"Sorry, but we have no record of that here, so you can't have done"

But I had, so just asked that they informed a supervisor of the conversation as I had no intention of making any further responses.

A month on and an additional invoice and phone call asking for payment. I explained the previous conversation. They said they had no record of my cancellation, but would look into it.

A month on and a third invoice. Clearly NOTHING had been done.

Now they are threatening me with debt collectors.

Under normal circumstances I would happily ride this out and let them rack up a hefty legal bill. Unfortunatety I have just sorted out my credit rating and don't want to risk knackering it up again.

I sent my cancellation letter Recorded & Signed For. Though RoyalMail can confirm that the letter was delivered, they are presently unable to provide me with an ePOD. However Talk Talk have told me that they.....

"...don't accept letters..."

I can't sort it..... they wont sort it..... and all that WILL happen is me getting a dodgy credit rating.

Any suggestions ?

leave them to it, you've switched providers, so they CANNOT be supplying you with broadband.
Let them make a fool of themselves, and get them to repair your credit rating in the end up.
