It covers Garden Themed days out country wide, and is brilliantly illustrated and devided into sections. These include Family gardens with Alton Towers and Bowood House (Wiltshire) which have adventure parks etc. Woodland Gardens, Plant Lovers Gardens and many more. It also tells you dates of has Festivals and Flower shows including Chelsea and Gardeners World Live. (These are not covered by the 2 for 1 offer).
Best of all there is a tear out 2 for 1 card for entrance charges on all the places in the book. You can use it as many times as you like, and lasts untill Dec 2006.
At the back of the book there is also an offer of 25% reduction on Hotel Accomadation with 300 hotels Europe wide if you want to stay a bit longer than a day.

Thanks very much for the tip, I will certainly go and buy a copy today.
With the onset of summer (we hope) it is lovely to visit different gardens and enjoy a day out. Admission can be very pricey so at two for one it is a bargain!0 -
Does this cover Levens Hall?Never say never...0

are the money saving vouchers extra to the days out offer -i.e part of the mag say £1.00 off next issue kind of thing. Thanks to everyone who posts comps :T0 -
South East
Syon Park, The Gibberd Garden, Easton Lodge, The Living Rainforest, Eden Project
(a) Eden Project is by no stretch of the imagination in the South EAST
(b) While it features in the Dreat Daysa out section it is NOT included in the 2 for 1 offer - unfortunately..
I would advise anyone wanting to visit a specific garden to check before buying

Thanks for this, My dad gets loads of garden mags including GW and passes them on to me. I rarely get round to reading them properly so would have overlooked this especially as he'd kept the booklet! Ive just phoned him and he's sending round for me : )0

Thanks for this.
A great find for the summer.
P.S Does the Alton Towers 2 for 1 mean admission to the gardens only?
Moneysaving? - I cant stop spending because of this site!0 -

Only 120 of the 189 gardens listed in the book have 2 for 1 entry. Look for the '2for1' box by the gardens's title. Alas Alton Towers isn't one of them.
Am finding the book difficult to use especially as there's no map showing all gardens allowing you to find ones near you or near where you're going on holiday.0 -

if you want a discount deal for levens hall your local tic should have a new leafet called Lake District Historic Houses and Gardens 2006 that will give you a reduced entry price of £7.50 each
