Can anyone recommend the best codecs or best codec pack to download for movie files?
I used to have no problems, but not various files will not play and I cannot find the right codecs to download.
I have downloaded K-lite 2.72 full version, but it does not work for some files.
Can I download others without any conflicts?
Thanks

I use Gspot to tell me which codec to get then just seach on yahoo for the codec that Gspot tells me too.
you can get it from here & it's free.

It'll tell you which codecs you need for a file & if you already have them installed or not.
I think I origionally downloaded a codec pack - something knott? then used Gspot to get the ones that were not covered by the pack.

Thanks. It was a mega quick download too
Will look at some codec sites and see if I find anything that may resemble 'knott'0 -

That one is similar, hopefully will work on Windows ME0 -
I'll have a look when I get home if you havn't sorted it by then & I should be able to post a link to the pack.
Might be a couple of hours though so post here if you've sussed it & I'll know not to bother.
Either way that gspot thing is very good at telling you what codec to get for the obscure ones that arn't in the packs.
Good luck.
