Hi
I'm looking for a second laptop so the wife can do some book keeping for me. I'm looking to spend around £350 and looking for something that has quite a good spec as I need to put a few programs on it. Ideally a 15.4" screen as well if poss. I bought an acer aspire 5920 from Play.com a while back and it is great for what I use it for so something along these lines would be great.
Thanks in advance
Barrie

Its non-branded but its ALOT better spec for the same price, my gf got one the other day and i was VERY impressed for the money. I'd highly reccommend it to anyone on a budget, 4 GB of ram and dual core for under £300... beat that Pc World!
EDIT: Its out of stock now, but if your willing to wait till the 7th of september then they should have more in at the same price.0 -
Two options:
Dell Outlet:

(click Dell Outlet - Home -> Outlet Laptops -> Open two windows, one with Dell Inspiron, the other Dell Precision. Change the price to < 500 then click Filter Results. Optionally change memory etc.)
Argos Clearance

for the best dell deals at the moment.
You should be aiming for Dual Core (NOT a Celeron / Sempron), 3GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 15+ inch screen,0 -

No operating system though?
All PC Worlds machines will have O/S's
Thats got to add £50-60 to the price. Plus all the wallying about installing drivers, etc.0 -

Sempron isnt a great processor, and 'just' 2GB RAM. Another £50 will buy a much better machine.0 -
Pick of the Dell deals at the minute would be this one...

Slightly over budget but you can get cashback via quidco.0 -

Surely everyone knows someone capable of getting their hands on an OS for free *cough* *cough*. Rumor has it that a certain copy of windows 7 run's on their like lightning
. Besides that laptop is £100 cheaper than anything i can see of the same spec anywhere. 0 -
this is a fairly good deal.
ive bought over 10 of these in last few months for my customers and they work fabulously. not one problem.
