I would be interested to know if you or anyone you know has been successful?
I see there are still the odd free ones about like the Sarah Beeny one.

We are currently selling privately & have a property on the Tepilo site (Sarah Beeney). Most of our viewings have come from adverts placed on Rightmove via an online estate agent. The online agent charges around £300; somewhat cheaper than the £10k one high street agent wanted to charge. Sara Beeney and her team are very helpful and the site does provide lots of information, the only drawback is that it doesn't get onto Rightmove.
We also seem to attract a lot of phone calls from the local high street agents on a weekly basis; some are curious; some think they know better; some are waiting for us to fail & go cap in hand to them. None of them are prepared to cut there fees.0 -

Well, the phone calls are a result of your own actions, in putting your contact details on the advertising. If it were the agent's details, they'd be filtering the wheat from the chaff for you. Up to you whether you think that's worth paying them for or not.....

There are no personal contact details available to the public. Most agents came round to value the property prior to us electing to sell by ourselves and so they know the property & hence the contact details. Some ring on a weekly basis. The on line agents have screened the potential buyers.
They don't have to cut fees at all, but they may have to start considering a different charging structure if the on line players start to take off.0 -
