Well I've got an Egg Money card, not to be confused with, I think Egg Card. Must be Egg Money.

You can load this with your money and whilst you are in credit they pay you interest on the dosh. So thats a Pro.

Pay as you go 'credit' cards
    .....

Pros? Don't know any besides no currency exchange comission abroad for some of them.

Cons? Very expensive to get and to use.

I applied for a Bluecorner Maestro & they declined as they couldn't verify my identity, they said if I apply again to send ID, yet they never asked for any this time. I told them i've recently changed surname & am not on the electoral roll under the name I applied. Ah well :!!
  • Have a look at these two from 360 money. Obviously depending on how people use a card(s) depends on if they think they are expensive. The Premium card is free and comes with a one off usage fee per month of £1.99, free to top up using Pay Point stores, [over 15,000 of these across the UK], cash back, cash advance fee and ATM fee is £1.50. There are some limitations, not too many, and you can have a maximum of up to £3,500.00 loaded onto it.

The standard Splash Plastic card is also available.

I have applied for the Premium on Tuesday of this week and watching to see how long they take in delivery. Will keep you posted.
