Well I've got an Egg Money card, not to be confused with, I think Egg Card. Must be Egg Money.
You can load this with your money and whilst you are in credit they pay you interest on the dosh. So thats a Pro.0 -
e-money prepaid cards
Prepaid debit/credit cards...any pointers?
bluecorner.co.uk
Pay as you go 'credit' cards
.....
Pros? Don't know any besides no currency exchange comission abroad for some of them.
Cons? Very expensive to get and to use.0 -
I applied for a Bluecorner Maestro & they declined as they couldn't verify my identity, they said if I apply again to send ID, yet they never asked for any this time. I told them i've recently changed surname & am not on the electoral roll under the name I applied. Ah well :!!0

Have a look at these two from 360 money. Obviously depending on how people use a card(s) depends on if they think they are expensive. The Premium card is free and comes with a one off usage fee per month of £1.99, free to top up using Pay Point stores, [over 15,000 of these across the UK], cash back, cash advance fee and ATM fee is £1.50. There are some limitations, not too many, and you can have a maximum of up to £3,500.00 loaded onto it.
The standard Splash Plastic card is also available.
I have applied for the Premium on Tuesday of this week and watching to see how long they take in delivery. Will keep you posted.0
