I have never been dismissed for gross misconduct, however, if I have left somewhere on bad terms I would usually put contract ended.

However, be prepared for something to possibly be mentioned in any reference as your employer is bound to be asked why you left.

Was it recent or a long time ago? Have you held a position successfully since?

It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Do you mind sharing what happened? Do you have union representation?

Have you read the company policy regarding misconduct etc....
What category does swearing at others fall under, is it verbal or written warning territory?
I wouldn't have thought it would be dismissal after so many years satisfactory employment.

Are you going into the hearing alone on Monday?
