How can you leave gross misconduct of a application form....

How would u leave gross misconduct of a application form, would u:
put down you where dismissed and hope there dont find out.
put it down and hope for the best.
or put a covering letter explaining what happened.

I have never been dismissed for gross misconduct, however, if I have left somewhere on bad terms I would usually put contract ended.
However, be prepared for something to possibly be mentioned in any reference as your employer is bound to be asked why you left.0 -
Was it recent or a long time ago? Have you held a position successfully since?

i have a hearing on monday but i think i will get sacked for it. i have been with the company for 22 years and no problems........0

no union sorry to say. in a nutshell i was provoked into it i swore at somebody twice on the shop floor(no customers). i have been there for 22 years no problems with time keeping,sick,disipline etc. just this once which i am sorry for.

Have you read the company policy regarding misconduct etc....
What category does swearing at others fall under, is it verbal or written warning territory?
I wouldn't have thought it would be dismissal after so many years satisfactory employment.
Are you going into the hearing alone on Monday?

i have somebody going in with me,they have sent my the documents and they said it would be for gross misconduct and could result in the sack.they are calling it threatening behavior.... which is rubbish.
i also work for the nhs so i am hoping to get a full time job there in the future but at the mo might see if i can pick up some more hours etc.0 -
so did people put dismissed down because that is what happened or did u put it down and get a job....or lied.....0

you could leave of your own accord .. whilst the reference would not be favourable it wouldnt say you were dismissed

see the problem being is that if you put gross misconduct down then you might not get a job0
