Hello
I am wondering if this has already been addressed, but is there anyone anyway campaigning for changes to the financial system so that you can't have your life destroyed if your ex partner just decides to disappear and stop paying loans etc. If there is no such campaign anyone know why not? And last question anyone know how to start said campaign?

Hello

Don't know if it needs a change to the system, but perhaps some education to warn people against taking out credit agreements in their name for other people?
A campaign for financial literacy to be taught in schools would get my support. My Debt Free Diary I owe:

Sep 16 £18780 Jan 17 £17082

There's also the problem of joint loans etc. I honestly don't see how that can be got round, you can't teach people to see into the future. If someone takes out a joint loan when a relationship's good and then it goes sour, I don't see how legislation can get around that. Although it should always be pointed out that joint and several liability means that each is responsible for the whole debt, I imagine a lot of people think they'll only have to pay half.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
