Yes please.
I want to be on the most basic bt plan and noticed on my latest bt bill an unlimited weekend plan and the mention of a price change and unlimited weekend plan refunded and then added on again at higher price.
Is there any explanation of this as I only want to be on the most basic bt line rental really. Are there any conditions for the unlimited weekend plan? Is there a way to get back to the most basic bt bill possible?I always wanted to be a procrastinator, never got round to it...0 -

Make sure your on Whole Bill Direct Debit - where you pay the exact amount owing to BT each month/quarter (and which also prevents a 'credit' building up on your account). Then elect for online billing and your rental will be £11.50 a month.0 -
Billing is in advance so, as the charges went up on 1-4-09 and as you had already paid in advance at the old amount, they refund the prepaid old amount and charge the new amount.I want to be on the most basic bt plan and noticed on my latest bt bill an unlimited weekend plan and the mention of a price change and unlimited weekend plan refunded and then added on again at higher price.

The only condition of the Unlimited Weekend Plan is to make one chargeable call per month.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Thanks very much guys. That explains that.
Will take up those suggestions.I always wanted to be a procrastinator, never got round to it...0 -

Is it the same with the free evenings and weekends plan? News to me that you have to make one chargeable call per month. I didn't make a chargeable call in April or May and my bill was £12.50 each time.
As explained on another thread, I have now changed to paperless billing, expecting to pay £11.50 in future, but my June bill has just come through (online) and it is for £14.20, which makes no sense at all. (Well it was actually £14.42 because I did make one 22p chargeable call).
I wish someone could explain what's going on. A £2.70 per month jump when I rarely use the thing (except evenings & weekends which should be free) seems extortionate.
I haven't bogged off yet, and I ain't no babe

They appear to have started charging you the standard monthly price for online line rental and evening and weekend calls, currently £14.20 a month.0 -

It is 12 months since I signed up to the evening/weekend plan, so perhaps the price I was on was only valid for a year. I'll have to look into it further. I don't see why there has to be so many variations of what is essentially the same thing
.
Bit like rail tickets really...
