Jalbum - great free web photo hosting/sharing site, very customisable

I have been looking for an alternative to Adobe Kodak galleries, we'd been using it to show photos to friends / other travellers to unusual places. I realised the inefficiency of. having to upload a full resolution 2 or 3 MB images just so that people could view a web sized image (albums taking hours to upload...). Plus the inflexibility of Kodak's slide show presentation - the published form has a plain white background,
Checked out Flickr, Google etc offerings, and in the end opted for Jalbum http://jalbum.net/ because you can select many creative skins and customise them too.
The Moneysaving angle is: Jalbum offer you very convenient FREE hosting which will cover scores of albums. Albums can be previewed then published/uploaded in a matter of minutes. When you run out of space it is a doddle to either pay Jalbum $25 per year (identical price to Kodak's unlimited account) or export your albums to your own hosting that stays under your own control.
Once set up the process is no more techie than say, Kodak's gallery offering and one whole lot more fun.
