I wanna Leather Sofa

Hi I have a bit of a dilemma as i need to get some new couches after my current ones lost a battle with a jug of tennants and a paralytic friend  And the smell of a Beer soaked couch aint too good in the morning.

They were due for a change anyway but i think i want to get leather ones to replace them. Have been looking around but there doesnt seem to be much in the way of good deals at this time of year. Argos seem to be the best so far with the torino 3 & 2 seater coming in at £550. Does anyone know of anything else that might be suitable. Im not looking to spend lots on it prob up to £600. Looking to buy quite soon as only have a single seater and some cushions on the floor as the offending couch smelled so bad it had to be put outside :D

As always any help will be greatly appreciated.

I think for that money, Homebase may be worth a visit, particularly over Easter as I would imagine they will have a 10% discount weekend.

Also, I believe MFI have decided to stop selling furniture and to stick to kitchens and bedrooms. Hence, it may be worth visiting them to see if they are clearing anything out.

has anyone ever negotiated a better deal on a sale couch at land of leather or similar stores? what kind of things do you use to haggle with or are they just not gonna move on the sticker price?

I suspect Land of Leatherand others like them, would like you take the finance (not sure though). These places are desperate for sales. The trick is to be very businesslike when asking for discount, explain that if they will knock a certain amount off you will buy there and then, also don't ask for a ridiculous discount , certainly no more than 10% and be prepared to accept less.
If they are adamant that they will not reduce, then be prepared to walk away.

    Good Luck!!

well land of leather is def off the list... the guy i was dealing with was just the arrogant person i have ever seen. Even before discussing possible discounts his attitude was like i dont really care about this sale we dont need your custom type of thing... It took me everything i had not to knock him out with his patronising about how much work goes into a leather couch... The final straw and where i walked out was when i questioned the delivery he said straight off "£50 no concessions" and started his speil about how if i can get 2 people to deliver a suite 10 miles for less than £50 i could have his job. Not impressed like..
