Confusing/misleading ebay listing? How many should I get??

I'm planning on having a Luau BBQ for my birthday so I've been buying bits and pieces on ebay.
A few days ago I did a BIN for Leis, the header said:
6 HAWAIIAN LEIS LEI HEN PARTY DRESS UP STAGS

but the listing says:

YOU ARE BUYING
12 LEIS
GREAT FOR YOUR HEN PARTY OR DRESSING UP

COLOURS AVAILABLE
PINK, RED, WHITE, MULTI COLOUR, LILAC
PLEASE STATE IF YOU REQUIRE A CERTAIN COLOUR

I paid for 2 sets on the assumption that I would receive 24, which would be perfect. When I contacted the seller to ask if they could all be multicoloured I asked for all 24 to be multi..... seller replied no problem. They arrived today & I only got 12. The message is till in my sent box showing that I said 24.
Have contacted the seller asking when my other 12 will arrive. The listing was still active 20 mins ago, but now under the 'won' items it says:

The seller ended this listing early because the item is no longer available for sale.

I tried putting the full title into the ebay search, but nothings coming up.

So what happens? Do I get my other 12 for the price I paid or have I lost out?

How many would you have expected?

It sounds like a genuine mistake by the seller who has pulled the listing once they realised what they had done. They probably answered your question about colour on autopilot and didn't look at the numbers just that you wanted them all to be muticolour. Not sure if you could get paypal to give you a refund, but they can't make the seller send you anything and you would probably be out of pocket from having to send them back..

If you paid for 2 sets of 12, the answer is 24.

Communicate with your seller.

Just received this back from the seller:
hi really sorry this listing looks like it had got corrupted, the listing was for as it states in the title 6 leis, you purchased 2 x 6 leis so i sent you 12. However after your email i checked out the wording and you are right it does state 12, for some reason. Even though I will be out of pocket as you bought in good faith I will send you further 12 1st class on Monday. Regards and sorry for the confusion. I have now removed this listing from ebay so it doesnt happen again regards xxxxxx

I feel a bit bad that she will be out of pocket, but I wouldn't have paid what I did for only 12 of them.
So problem solved. Thanks for your comments guys. Goes to show how easy it is to make a mistake as well!

I think I would have asked the seller, but I'd say the title is a better guide as with some sellers who sell the same or similar items in a shop, they tend to use a ready-written form or template for listings, I've been caught out here in the past.

On the message to seller bit on paypal I said:
Please can all 24 be multicoloured? Thank you.

The next day I sent this message to the seller:
Hi there, I just wanted to check if it had been possible for all 24 leis to be multicoloured as I requested? Not a huge deal if they're not, just wondered!

They sent back: hi yes multi ones on way to you regards xxxxxx

So I assumed that the listing was correct at 12 & carried on. I feel a bit guilty, but I'll be buying more from the same seller as she has loads of Luau stuff that I like & i'll be sure to question things in future instead of just flying through it all.

thats the only listing ive seen that seems to be a genuine mistake. but for their terrible wording, i would push for a refund just to be annoying

Probable a genuine mistake. I listed a few items as auctions to try and draw sales to my BINs didn't relaize until two hours to the end that I had left the title as free post but had the correct postage in the listing. Fortuately my buyers emailed to question this so I didn't lose out! Lesson learned, check everything!
