I thought it would be interesting to see how many MSE'ers were successful with today's 1 year TasteLondon pass (given it was advertsied on Martin's email this week) and the effect MSE has on money saving and offer grabbing! Onthe TasteLondon thread there was some debate as to whether it would be first come first serve or random.

Surely the first 2 questions are the same? People may have clicked on the second one and still entered bang on 2pm - or their clocks could have been different. Why does everyone always think that there must be some sort of conspiracy? It seems to me to have been a completely fair process. Cheer up everyone and be happy for those of us that won - I did it BANG ON 2pm and won.

But the whole thrust of this discussion and poll is that people are doubting the integrity of the offer and your comments are fueling that doubt. For example, the thread was started with the statement "Onthe TasteLondon thread there was some debate as to whether it would be first come first serve or random." which suggests that people believe that there was foul play. Polls like this simply fuel that belief.
Let's just face it, some people have different times on their computers and those that didn't win are likely to say "I was there first". By implying that Taste London have in some way doctored the results other companies are likely to think twice about doing offers like this and getting their fingers burnt. If you won and entered at 2pm why make a comment that is likely to provoke debate and doubt in people's minds?
Anyway, off my soapbox - well done for winning. I didn't win (entered at 2:02pm) but never mind

I assume it doesnt matter to them whether they give out 2,000 cards on a first come first served basis or on a random basis. But i take your point about my post.0
