This challenge used to run every week (thanks to Moozie and PAP) but I have not seen it in a while so I hope no one minds but I need this to keep me on track ...

Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.:T

Well I finally made it as green last week after many many weeks of red. :j:j

I am going for £20 this week to include everything other than food (or anything I have a budget for like toiletries). I need to try and come under that amount if possible as I am going to the Opera next Saturday and tickets are £32  that I still have to pay my friend for and then whatever I spend when I am there.

Have a happy bank holiday budgeteers (even though I am working on Monday:mad:)

    Morning all!

£30 for me next week please Pointy!

Red for last week as I spent money on concert tickets and make up, so must have spent 4 times my budget :rotfl:

As it was payday yesterday I am also going to buy clothes, but this won't be counted out of my £30.

    Happy Budgeteering :D

    Howdy F_F

I hope the overtime goes quickly so you can enjoy the rest of your weekend.

I am jealous you are going to see Skunk Anasie, they take me back to my youth, when the world was simple and I had nothing but disposable income:rotfl: I am sure you will have a wonderful time.

I am off to the Subway festival in Glasvegas today which involves seeing a play on a subway train so that should be intetesting:D

HI, I like the sound of this challenge!!
Can you please put me down for £30 for this week. It is half term and we are meeting up with some friends, otherwise it would hopefully be alot lower.

    Evening all

I am knackered I have walked 12km around Dunblane today. The weather was lovely and I had a nice time catching up with a friend. Today I spent £7.20 on a train ticket, £1.75 on the bus and £1.42 on ice-cream. I am not counting this out of the weekly budget as I had some treat money spare that will go on this.

How is everyone else getting on?

I'm red already as I spent £31 on books in Waterstones for no good reason.
