This challenge used to run every week (thanks to Moozie and PAP) but I have not seen it in a while so I hope no one minds but I need this to keep me on track ...

Hello everyone a010.gif. Welcome to the weekly spend challenege. This challenge is open to anybody, no matter what financial place they are in.

On this thread please post an amount of money you wish to stay below within the week (Sunday to end of working day on Friday). This can be pennies or thousands it depends on the individual. Then next Saturday report back and pledge for the following week. Feel free to update this thread with daily spends if that keeps you on track.

This is a little bit of fun but for many it highlights the fact that maybe that magazine/chocolate bar isn't needed. Hopefully your spending habits can be changed forever. clapping.gif

Moozie was the founder of this challenge and here is a quote taken from her around last year

The challenge is about incidental spending and not for stuff that should be budgeted elsewhere such as bills, groceries, debt repayment etc but you decide what to include at the end - this is about changing your habits and improving your recording of your spends more than anything else. Have a great week everyone and keep it low!!! Moozie x

Good luck everyone.:T

So it is a brand new shiney thread and I am going to put the disasters last week behind me. I must say I did enjoy my excesses so I suppose on one level it was worth it.

I am in full revision panic mode now as my essay has to be in on Friday and my exam is on 12th so only 9 days to go . But I got my results back from my first assignments and they were much better than I expected so that takes some of the pressure off.:j

I am going to try and go for £20 again this week, I should not be doing anything apart from working and studying so there should be no excuses to spend as long as I get food sorted for work and studying. This will include any spends not budgeted elsewhere.

Good luck everyone, I hope you have a good week.

Well done to all those that made green

    Hi Pointy :hello:

Apologies for being AWOL, sir, will try to make up for it!!

April was an out of control month, so I have to pull it back together for May, so with that in mind, can you put me down for £10 this week please?

I'm going to aim for at least a couple of NSDs to try to make it last.

Lots and lots of virtual luck coming your way Pointy, for your assignments and exams - I don't envy you, but it'll be so worth it in the end.

Can I join? I'm going for just £20 being as we got a big shop in just a couple of days ago and I want to get into the habit of using up what we have before buying more. We really need to make some seriously headway if we're gonna clear our debt by the end of the year/beginning of next.

DH and DS off fishing today so wont be spending anything until tomorrow at the earliest.
