Errr, an IFA could help?!

Or do you mean "Please someone Google IFA for me" in which case http://www.unbiased.co.uk/ is one of the first results.

Structured products generally don't get good reviews... investec might be better than the retail ones avaliable though.

An execution only IFA would be able to do this - for example here http://moneyworld.com/Income_Bonds/index.htm

While I accept there are some 'negative' comments on structured products, I think if you compare them to savings accounts they would come out very favourably indeed. At the moment, funds are flying into these from both IFA's and bank and building society customers.

I think that Investec in particular have a very clever and attractive product (the one I looked at, at least)

I havent looked at their current ones. They had a couple of good ones last year. Good in respect of GEBs (as most as pretty awful). I personally wouldnt have had one though but i can see that certain people may have done.

I dont believe they hold the necessary authorisations to retail direct to public.

Just contact a local IFA or find one online and get them to do it.

I liked the look of the last few Premier stuctured products (which can be invested with directly), but they don't have one avaliable right now.

The Premier one at 8% p.a. looked good but its just expired. Expect a new announcement shortly on the next tranche. They rarely go for long without at least one on offer.
