well im now a white vinegar for cleaning convert :T
i want to start using it in the washing machine in the final rinse as recommended on here , but am very ashamed to say i dont know which compartment it goes in
i know its the softener part but which is that
( i dont use softener) also how much should i put in?
also ironing  ,hub wears shirts to work 6 days a week, proper cufflink jobbies
they are the bane of my life at the mo
as soon as they are washed i hang them on hangers to dry but even so they are always really really creased which takes me forever to iron out even with our almost new expensive iron  )
anyone got any tips? anything to put in the iron / spray on the shirts etc
also (last one
) ive seen recommended on here to put some essential oil and water in a spray bottle to use as an ironing spray ,does the oil not stain the clothes ,little droplets of oil when sprayed ?
TIA

spin the shirts on a lower speed and use some softener to ease the ironing0

will it make a lot of difference if its a sep softener ??0 -
hi, my hubs also wears shirts everday to work, i have just bought a contraption from homebase, its like a tripod with 3 arms and u can hang up to 30 items on it, i use it all the time for hanging his shirts to dry on and for hanging whilst im ironing
i dont know if you have a tumble dryer or not (not very o/s i know) but when i have done his shirts in there they have not needed ironing for some reason?
also i agree that if you use a softener things are much easier to iron and creases seem to fall out quicker whilst drying.
alternitavley you could get him to iron his own shirts :rotfl: :rotfl:Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.A hug is a great gift - one size fits all and its easy to exchange

ok dont know if this will work but this is where my softener goes
but your washer drawer may differ to this
if in doubt i know you can buy capsules now that you put in the drum but they are very expensive

Have a look at the instruction manual for your washing machine as the position of drawer for conditioner can vary.
Re shirts - try hanging them on a hanger while wet and then putting on a washing line to dry - iron while they are still slightly damp."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

That is the correct bit to put softener in, same as my machine I think. Is it aquarius?
Edited to say whoops, thought the pic was asking if that is the place to put softener!!

yes an aquarius, only a month old our old one went caput! was only 5 years old too, the salesman said thats there life span! couldnt believe that as my mum must of had hers at least 25 years!
think thats the trouble with having 3 sons and a husband though, washing machine lives on overtime!
p.s if you have the same one how do you do a quick wash on a 40, my old one had a time saver button but this one doesnt, although i can do a quick wash on a 30 or a 60, bit weird cant do it on a 40Accept that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue.A hug is a great gift - one size fits all and its easy to exchange

We have a shower rail above the bath, wall to wall. I bought a load of hangers from Ikea and hang all shirts, blouses, tops etc on the rail as soon as theyre done. (I know it sounds a fiddle but I fold everything as I take it out of the machine - it keeps them from being all bundled up and getting creased) Some Tshirts dont need ironing at all after that and lots of the others need only a little here and there.0
