Do you know what the problem is? I have one of these which was purchased in January. Should I be returning it to Argos?0 -
all i know is that it was a technical reason. Whenever an item is withdrawn it just normally has a vague description like that. You always contact argos customer service to see if there has been a public withdrawn notice put up. Could just be something like the latest batch were manufactured wrongly or something.0

Saw this on videohelp.com forums
"I had problems with it - really bad problems. It would throw up a black screen at random when playing DivX and Xvid files which played perfectly on my home P.C.
I rang the Argos helpline and was told it had been recalled. I took it back with the receipt and they gave me a full refund."0 -

I should probably be ok. As I said mine was bought in January and I dont have any problems playing back anything. Plus there was a load of them at the front on display at my local Argos yesterday afternoon.0

Hello there,
I bought the Wharfedale DVD3210DVX DVD Player
From Argos about a month ago
Main Reason was because it played DIVX & XVID
But it Dont (I would avoid Wharfedales)
I took it back next day
I really recommend the Philips DVP5100 DVD Player - £69.99 in Argos
It plays everything i throw at it DIVX, XVID the lot!No Unapproved or Personal links in signatures please - FT30 -

and its hardly something difficult to do, wonder what happens when something more major happens, i.e. this weekend; the child bicycle seat (with the whole under no circumstances should this be sold) which was entirley dependant on the stores doing it and not an automatic thing, really have to wonder what some managers spend all day doing...0
