Which 9.5kW Electric Shower to buy?

I have been told I need to purchase a 9.5kW Electric Shower

I am looking for something reliable, tried and tested and reasonable on price (value for money).

Apparently I need it as there is only good pressure on the cold water

I would appreciate any advice suggestions

Thanks in advance

    Redring Expressions 500S
Temperature stabilised, phased shutdown, easy to fit, looks good, 3 year warranty, less than £130.

if you are replacing your shower , make sure the cable can cope with a 9.5kw , if not go for a 7.5

Agreed that you must make sure the cable can cope with the load of a higher rated shower - you may need an electrician to check / replace it if you're not sure. But I wouldn't go for a 7.5Kw shower, it's really not powerful enough to give a decent temperature and flow rate. I would say look for a 9.5 Kw minimum, preferably a 10.5 Kw if possible, and if the cable needs upgrading then so be it. Long term it will be money well spent.

In the end I purchased a TRITON TRANCE Electric Shower complete 9.5Kw.

For £75 delivered boxed and brand new.

This was about £115 - £130 plus delivery elsewhere.

Plumbworld advertised it for a similar price but that related to an advert from 6 months ago.

I hope its ok - it will be used once a day maximum for 10 minutes.

    Thanks for all your help

Surely if you need a 9.5Kw shower you will need the cable upgraded to 10mm cable?

If so I would go for a 10.5 + electric shower.

If not I 3rd or however many a Mira or - as we have a Triton shower.

Personally I would get the cable changed to 10mm and have a 10.5 +. You could always get a power shower on that - depending on where your water supply is.

You are looking at £120 + for that rating. Plumbworld is a good supplier.

Mira and triton are the only electric brands you should get and I think both offer at least a 2 year guarantee.

    Cheers :p
