Eaga warm front grant

we have recently been told we can have a grant for £2700.00 from eaga, this is to hopefully replace a knackered boiler, my question is has anybody had any help/grant to replace windows under this or any other scheme, as all the seals have gone on current double glazing.

Windows arent included. You can get a grant towards heating/insulation only subject to conformation of income and whether work needs doing. We just had our boiler replaced yesterday be prepared to wait 6 months though. We waited since October last year.

By the way there isn't much left once boiler and cost of work is taken into account, they told me yesterday the boiler alone was almost a grand. The £2,700 wouldn't able to cover a full heating system as my friend down the road found out and her house is same size as ours 2 up 2 down.

Our boiler is great, almost instant hot water, radiators are now piping hot, bloody great.

Thanks poppycat, what kind of condition was your boiler in, ours is about 10 years old and costs a fortune to run, its currently broken, they said on inspection it may be repaired, however we are hoping for a more cost efficient combi-system, did they try to repair yours or did they just right it off.

Steve ours was 14 years old, a Worcester combi boiler. They did tell me it may get reapired when we got a chap round within a week or two of applying but I knew it wouldnt be a viable option as brother in law whos a plumber said something else would go again soon enough.

Then we got another bloke 6 weeks ago come round, he said they replace it if its 8 years.

Two guys came Tuesday and put it in they were done about 2.30pm and another chap did the electrics. So hopefully you should be smilar situation.

You also get energy advice and 4 energy bulbs.
