hope this is ok in here
I'm setting up on my own and would love to know how much you paid for a single wall or a room or even a full house over skimming with plaster
Your location would be good too
Many thanks
Ian

As a general rule of thumb, a plasterer seems to get between £60-100 a day. Upper amount if they are really good, low amount if it yer 'bish bosh' type of job!
To start with even if good you will need to be at the lower end, then as work fills up you can nudge the prices up. In our village in Cheshire we have a good plasterer who is upto £130 a day, and its six weeks til he can do anything!

I am a dryliner/ skimmer In the lincoln area skimmers are on about £2.00 per meter new build. Thats subcontracting. I would say you would be wanting at least £180 per day i can earn that by starting at 8 oclock and finishing by 3 o clock. I would charge more for overskim as this needs unibonding usually before skim is applied.I came into this world with nothing and I'm gonna leave with nothing.0

Don't know if you've thought to look on the 'Is this fair?' sub-board within the 'In my home' board?
Haven't needed the services of a plasterer since our friend put her foot through our loft, and that was a long time ago ...Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

We had our conservatory done last year - plasterboard putting up plus skimming. The size of the conservatory is 5 metres by 3.5 and it cost us £200. It took him 2 days to do. One wall had a kitchen window plus double french windows but was from floor to ceiling, the rest was just a low level wall. I am from the Cheshire area.0
