connection problem with netgear

I have a netgear modem for my pc and my daughters laptop, but the laptop keeps looses connection all the time, she cant go in to the bedroom etc why is this ? Thanks

    could be a range of things - interference from other wifi networks, other wireless devices conflicting with the wifi, the thickness of walls/floors in the house etc.

    have you tried adjusting the aerial's position on the router?

    can you change the wifi channel in the router setup?
    Are there a number of wifi signals detected in your area?
    Microwaves can interfere.
