solicitors letter has left me panicked!!!!

i have just received a letter from solicitors regarding my £6k credit card. i am only 3 months behind and have made good will payments when i have been able to. i have sent them and halifax a sar request and am waiting for results of that? i have received one letter asking me to contact them which i did yesterdaay and they said they knew nothing about it and to wait for a letter. well a letter has certainly arrived but not the sort i was expecting!! they have said in the letter that despite a default notice and several reminders my account remains out of order. this solicitors letter says they not want amount outstanding but the full £6k in 7 days what do i do now????? i was waiting for the result of the sar before asking what step to take next, but they were demanding a signature before they would do it and it was only yesterday that they finally agreed to carry out the request when i said i would collect it with id at a local branch. so it will be some time before i receive that. in brief i have not gone through cccs etc agencies as i have disposable income which they want me to use in a dmp but they are not allowing certain necesseties and due to my circumstances i dont know how long i would be able to continue with their dmp so was hoping to arrange something myself. i have already had a f and f refused when i offered them about 1/6th of amount outstanding.....what do i do now???

    Hi

This sounds like a standard termination letter. the next thing will be a default letter. With any luck they will screw it up.

What i do not understand is why you have not done a CCA request? And why have you done a security check at all.

They have 12 working days plus two days to respond to a CCA request and 40 days for a SAR.

The default notice must be issued before the termination letter ;)

If you already have the Default letter, you need a SAR rather than a CCA request.

    When tis the SAR deadline?

    Look

They know you cannot pay the money back. This is just one stage in going for a CCJ.

What you need to do is wait for the SAR documents and then you may be able to challenge the CCJ.

having read the rest of the letter it says if i cant repay in 7 days i can contact them and they will organise a lump sum up front and realistic monthly payments. i am not trying to get out of paying this and now having rceived help through benefits am in a position to pay £100 a month but not the £200 which was what is should be. but by offering this amount would i be in a position where i could ask them to refund charges (not alot) and use this £100 to actually go in full towards bill and not just cover the interest. or am i offering too little or too soon to be in position for them to consider this?

    Hi

We cannot advise you how a creditor will respond to an offer. All you can do is ask them.

i have received a solicitors letter regarding £5698.86 outstanding on my lloyds credit card. they dont just want the 3 months payments i am behind with but the full amount within 7 days. if i cant pay this in full they will allow a lump sum payment followed by realistic monthly amounts!! i have been sending the odd £10 when i could. i did send them a SAR request as advised a couple of weeks ago and was what i was waiting for before checking out my next move. this has obviously meant i now cant wait that long! i do have a surplus of £300 per month on paper but not in purse. have had a recent soa posted and am making changes but what do i do about this letter?? am getting really worried!! they have said if i dont contact them and they start court proceedings it will affect anyone else in my homes credit status! i know this would not happen straight away if at all but has worried me enough to want to try to come to some arrangement with them i was supposed to pay £114 per month, would they accept half and only to go on bill not interest or is it to early for then to accept any bartering???
