Can't see images on a particular website

hi, i'm really hoping someone can help me out here

i paid to join TSR (the sims resource) and i still have 160+ days left of unlimited downloads.

about 4 days ago i was having problems with the site crashing on me when i tried to download a full basket of 200 items (it used to be only 100 at a time, i wonder if this is causing problems) i had to restart the computer a few times and eventually gave up and came back about 12 hours later... suddenly i can't see any images other than the logo for the site!

now just 12 hours before i'd been happily browsing through and saw images galore. i have no idea WHY i can no longer see the images but no amount of clearing my cache, restarting the computer, logging in or out and quite unfortunately raising a support ticket has done anything to clear up the issue

meanwhile i'm losing out on days i can download stuff and i've started making my own stuff and want to upload it but i can't if i can't see images

here's a screen shot of what i get, it happens both in IE and Netscape

[IMG][/img]tsrissues.jpg

they simply have not responded to my support ticket (more than a bit peeved at this)

i'm runnning on a new, 4 month old dual core machine from evesham, it even has the invidia graphics card recommended by maxis as i wanted to be certain my sims2 games would run smoothly (ok, i'm officially sad!)

i'm running on Windows XP Pro, we have plenty of RAM and space on the harddrive, i've run ad aware and spybot plus my anti virus software, twice!

also this is supposed to be unlimited downloads so i really have no clue why it's doing this

this is the ONLY website it does this on, figures! i've included the link in hopes that others will go on and have a look around, you should be able to see the images without membership, you just can't download if you aren't a member, any help very gratefully received

i've been trying the tsr site again and i noticed something odd

look at the bottom of this screen shot, it says it's downloading the images

    tsrissues2.jpg
i sat there and watched that line, it went down to 30 images, then 24 etc so i let it go... it now says it's downloading 408 images! and NO there isn't a single one there

also, i've found the link they gave me for the support ticket, it doesn't work, page not found

i defragged the computer last night hoping it would help but it didn't

i now can't see the website at all, nothing

however i've noticed another problem so i suspect it's something on my computer i can't get avg to update it just hangs there then i get the 'check your connection' thing also a link to grisoft which doesn't work either

according to my current defintions on avg i don't have a virus, but this is making me wonder PLEASE HELP! i use this computer to run my business, i can't have it stop working on me

i've also noticed many of my main websites are very slow to run even despite cleaning up my entire system, having a superfast machine and an 8mb connection (normally runs at around 6.8mb) somethings wrong... _pale_

what firewall do you use ?? it may be blocking the update

you can download the updates direct from

    http://free.grisoft.com/doc/24/lng/us/tpl/v5

    and do a manual update

had a thought, seeiing it was a site crash download crapcleaner from

    www.ccleaner.com

and run it to clear all your temp internet files etc....then try reloading that web page

i use mcafee it's never blocked the download before

at 9:34 every day AVG automatically updates itself and it has done so today, i went back and checked manually and everything is up to date

i tried downloading the manual files from grisoft, how to you actually install them then? i get the 'what program would you like to use to open these files' thing... i've no clue what opens .bin files

i've tried the crapcleaner and it cleaned out a bunch of stuff, thanks

but it didn't fix the tsr problem :-(

thanks again, i downloaded that and it removed even more stuff than spybot and adaware removed BUT it still hasn't fixed the problem... and mcaffee doesn't appear to be interfering with avg as far as i can tell (plus i'm all updated now)

i'm really confused as to how a specific website can just disappear, it works for other people why not for me?
