The New Tata Nano Car from India

I love the idea of this little car, OK there is a few problems which have cropped up for supply and demand but I can see myself owning one of these little Tata Nano's, there are a few super small low cost cars on the roads today but this has maybe come a little to late with the current credit problems the world is seeing yet on the other hand I'm not looking for a car with the biggest engines and best looks as long as it is safe and comfortable for the family i see myself as a future customer with the price of around £1400 said by Yahoo news, euronews stated 1500 euros! cool,

Petrol and other costs that come with owning cars is so high these days and since I may only drive at 30/40-70 MPH any way and performance is for the boy/girl racers of all ages I will be waiting for a red one YAY!!!:T

  • It is a shame, already after reading some reviews from a motor show who make big money from big fast cars the Tata Nano is getting bad reviews for being to small? to light? small wheels? and a two cylinder motor, from wha I have seen in the past as a none professional most small cars are not to good in a 30/40mph crash test and wonder why this car should be tossed to one side when the price is right

Looks fine for a little run around

I think there more useful than a smart car for a family although it may be uncomfortable for longer journeys with a small family

There was a tiny car 40 years ago the Peel P50.

Here it is being tested by Jeremy Clarkson.

I wouldn't fancy a crash in one... Besides there is more to a car than the price :)

They're designing one for Europe. By the time it's been redesigned to comply with European safety standards they say it will cost more like £4500.

A prototype Nano for the UK and European market - which complies with EU safety and emissions rules, is called the Nano Europe and will cost around £4,500 - was unveiled at this month's Geneva Motor Show.

With a top speed of only 65mph, it would be very foolosh to take one onto a motorway.

    ?

HGV's are supposed to by law stick to a 60mph limit on the motorway, and yet no one regards this as foolish.
