When I've been to Ask I really like their Lasagne!!! I wasn't so keen on their garlic/cheese bread but that is probably personal taste. The pasta dishes are nice too..

The service when I've been to the Staines one has been outstanding, the staff are excellent despite being very busy and rushed off their feet. We've never been left waiting..

I did try the Sticky Toffee pudding for two to share but I think I was too full up to appreciate it!! (I did share it in case you were wondering )

I would love to hear other peoples comments on the desserts, and other dishes...

we too go to ASK in staines about once a month. the kids prefer it to pizza hut. to have offers and vouchers as well is a double bonus. Had a very spicy italian stew thing last time which nearly blew my head off. The calzone pizza is very good. Dont usually do puddings. service is always excellent

We go to our local ASK in Berkhamsted regularly with 2 for 1 voucher. My favourite dish is the goats cheese one, for the life of me can't remember the name, 'Chevre Grill' perhaps ? Anyway you can have it for a starter or a main course.

The place is always packed, but we are lucky that we have loads of restaurants on the High Street including Cafe Rouge, Pizza Express, Brasserie Gerard, Ask etc all of which have vouchers available at one time or another!

Used the 2 for 1 voucher on friday night in Bury St Edmunds. 2 risottos and 2 cokes came to less than £15 and the risottos were lovely. Plenty of chicken in them and tasted great. Will be going again before the voucher runs out!

Has anyone tried the puddings or can recommend any of the starters? Sticky toffee was nice but it's large (for 2 people)

We're going to test this out on Sunday. My assumption is that you would get three mains for £1 otherwise - if they were only giving one for £1 - why would they set a maximum party size?

Default ASK one voucher means three people can eat for £1

Hi there,

We have been in touch with the ASK head office and it has confirmed that one voucher is valid for up to six people. So buy three mains and you'll be entitled to get three more for £1 with this voucher.

Hope this helps,

MSE Deborah

Does anyone know why they are doing the sexist 'Mums eat free' promotion? Why would ASK value mums more than dads?

I haven't seen this offer before. I would hope that they would give it to a dad also but agree it's bad to call it that.

Interesting... I went to ASK recently using the "half price lunch" element of the current voucher, thinking it would give 2 of us a half price lunch. As it happened, we only got one lunch half price. I did raise this at the time without success. I usually eat there once a fortnight or so, but probably (out of spite, and yes "cutting off my nose to spite my face") won't eat there again.

There is no such thing as a free lunch. Its only free because you've paid for it.

Noone can have everything they want and the sooner you learn that the better.

I love Ask, sadly hubby doesn't take hints very well and we have never been as a couple (5 years now!) but am going to go to the one in Leighton Buzzard (where the old fire station used to be) sometime soon with my Mum.

Bonus that they always seem to have some sort of voucher / offer on!
