**Ccleaner has changed**

Ccleaner has been updated to version 1.27.260 - February 14th, 2006

It now includes an option to download the Yahoo Toolbar as a result Ccleaner is now being technically described as Adware by some...

NOTE: During the installation be sure to UN-check the box for "Ccleaner Yahoo Toolbar" which has been added, unless you want it.

What's New in This Release:

· Added secure file deletion.
· Added Windows HotFix Uninstaller cleaning.
· Added optional IE toolbar.
· Updated application icon.
· Fixed large file size issue.
· Fixed Firefox cookie error.
· Restyled Startup program list.
· Added cleaning for:
· Grisoft AVG 7.0, TUGZip, AntiVir Personal Edition,
· Google Toolbar 4.0
· Updated cleaning for:
· MSN Messenger, DVD Shrink, Spybot Search and Destroy,
· Adobe Photoshop CS2.
· Updated translations:
· Hebrew, Romanian, French, German.
· Fixed small font issue with symbolic languages.
· Minor display fixes.


It seems Ccleaner is now not only a "Crap Cleaner" but a "crap adder" as well...

I shall still be recommending it's use ... but adding this to my instructions...

During the installation be sure to UN-check the box for "Ccleaner Yahoo Toolbar" (unless you actually want it).

    Its Flash Player all over again.. Pee off Yahoo we dont like your sponsorship deals :mad:

    I saw this when I updated and I thought wow thats a crap idea :(

    On the other hand - as long as that means it'll stay free and up to date.

    Just an extra thing you have to remind people to check before they install when you recommend it.

    It's getting annoying all this crap added to everything - the worst is adding itunes (and downbling the download size) to quicktime - you have to hunt to find the non itunes one.

    I just deleted the tool bar when I upgraded mine the other day.
    Like you say if it keeps it free I'm quite happy just to delete the toolbar etc.

    Or just download itunes with quicktime then remove quicktime from
    add/remove in control panel as they are seperate bits of software.

    Just cancelled my update as I couldn't see a tick box for the tool bar, when it got too agreeing t and cs I was agreeing to use Yahoo.
    Where've I gone wrong?

    Isn't it the Google Toolbar it has added not the Yahoo one? Or are they both the same and isn't this because CCleaner became part of the Google pack (or whatever it's called)?
