Tesco and mislabelling of products

Was in Tesco tonight and picked up 48 pack of their own brand Weetabix in a blue box, priced £1.37. Nothing was on the pack settling of contents etc, or sold by weight/volume etc or anything. Stated that the box contained 24 servings at 37.5g per serving, that would come to 900g. The box stated on the front that it contained 860g, so they are selling it 40g short!!
Noted that all other boxes of cereal stated this box contains around 24 servings or 36 or whatever, not dead on any set amount of servings. Didn't notice the 24 pack amount.

Since you're effectively being charged more (per unit weight) than the shelf edge label says, go and insist on a refund under their overcharging policy.0

If they're selling short, thats a job for Trading StandardsI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
